Music LiveStreaming News
According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Twitch has signed a new deal with EDM artist Bob Moses, indicating that more musical acts will follow the model of video game streamers giving exclusive steaming content to Twitch. I can see where this could be more and more important for mid-range acts. While large acts will be able to sell out any online live event, consolidating fans onto one platform could really help the lesser-known acts, especially if there is a component of audience interaction like Twitch supports. Additionally, the element of discoverability on Twitch can really aid in building a fanbase and creating buzz across the Twitch community.
